What can be manufactured

Frequently asked questions

What is third-party manufacturing?

The manufacturer holds the drug licence and produces the batch under their own GMP approvals, then releases it under your brand name and label.

How is this different from a PCD franchise?

PCD is distribution — you sell an existing company’s range in your territory. Third-party manufacturing is production — a facility makes your own formulation and brand.

What is loan licensing?

You hold the manufacturing licence for the product, but production happens at another company’s GMP-approved facility on your behalf, under an arrangement registered with the state FDA.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Varies by manufacturer and dosage form — typically around 1 lakh units for tablets, lower for creams, syrups and sachets. Confirm MOQ on the manufacturer’s profile before enquiring.

Do I need my own drug licence?

Only for loan licensing. For full third-party manufacturing the facility’s own licence covers production; you still need a licence to sell and distribute the finished product.

Does PharmaXperts take a cut?

No. Enquiries go straight to the manufacturer and any rate, contract or payment is agreed directly between the two of you.
